The three buildings stand separately with their own functions as an ideal of the relation between the single person and god, nature and community. At the same time the three elements complete each other in a circular movement where the community building and the chapel embrace the church. The hierarchy is clear.
The circle is the key of this concept. It defines the composition of the complex, it shapes the ceiling of the buildings, it builds the structure, it draws the floor of the courtyard, it organizes the interior space. But the circle isn’t revealed only through the form, it is expressed through the relation between architecture, acoustics, religion and nature. Function, spirit and atmosphere are blended together. The circle is the union between people and god, and it symbolizes the community between human being and life.
